I've been playing around with combining my bronze castings with etched handwriting and photo-etched book text. It's been great fun to combine all of these techniques into this set of cuffs. The handwritten inscription reads, "Handle a book as a bee does a flower – extract its sweetness but do not damage it. – John Muir" I fell in love with this inscription and knew it belonged with one of my little bronze honey bees. I think this piece has an interesting combination of daintiness, sparklyness and bookishness, new and old. All the things I love! See a short little video of me working on this piece here.
