Tiny chickadees have the amazing ability to lower their body temperature to withstand and adapt to even the coldest of conditions, making them a powerful symbol of dignified strength and resilience in the face of hardship.
Handmade in my Ohio studio, I sculpted this tiny chickadee in wax and cast it in sterling silver. I soldered it to a tiny silver Maple twig which I cast from one that I collected while walking through Cuyahoga Valley National Park.
The tiny bird is less than 1/4" tall, and the twig is about 1" wide. It is suspended from an 18" solid silver rolo chain with an additional extension chain that will add up to 2 more inches to the length. It is finished with a handmade artisan "S" hook clasp and buffed to an elegant satin sheen.

Dandelion seeds float across this chunky silver cuff bracelet. My client asked me to inscribe this inside, too: “It’s not what you gather but what you scatter that tells the kind of life you’ve lived.” . . .
